About BlueWaterCell
BlueWaterCell was founded by two long-time friends who combined their experience with one simple goal – to develop and market reliable replacement electrolytic cells under the BlueWaterCell brand that they would confidently install in their own customers' pools.
One of us has spent more than 25 years in the swimming pool industry. He began by designing and building swimming pools before gradually becoming a technical consultant specializing in service, maintenance and troubleshooting of pool equipment. Years of daily work with pool owners and service companies have provided valuable insight into which components perform reliably and which are the most common source of failures.
The other has worked in technical manufacturing for more than 20 years. Throughout his career, he has visited manufacturing plants and development centres across Europe and Asia, gaining extensive experience in engineering, plastics processing, production technologies and quality control.
Bringing these two worlds together led to the creation of BlueWaterCell — an independent European brand focused on compatible replacement electrolytic cells for residential and commercial salt chlorination systems.
Over the years, we have evaluated many replacement electrolytic cells available on the market. We observed significant differences in material selection, manufacturing consistency and electrode coating quality. Because the quality of the ruthenium coating has a major influence on performance and service life, we decided to define our own technical requirements instead of focusing primarily on manufacturing cost.
We visited manufacturers in several countries, evaluated their production capabilities and selected a manufacturing partner willing to produce according to our technical specifications rather than simply the lowest possible price.
Every BlueWaterCell product is manufactured according to BlueWaterCell technical specifications and is supplied under our own product identification, including its own SKU and EAN code.
Quality control does not end when products leave the factory. Every production batch is inspected, measured and verified using our own testing procedures before being released for sale.
Our goal is straightforward: to provide high-quality replacement electrolytic cells that combine verified compatibility, reliable performance and transparent technical specifications. By working directly with carefully selected manufacturing partners, maintaining our own European inventory and eliminating unnecessary intermediaries, we invest where it matters most—product quality and customer support.

To ensure fast dispatch and reliable availability throughout the season, we maintain our own European warehouse in Brno, Czech Republic. We normally keep more than 100 replacement cells of every product type in stock, allowing most customer orders to be dispatched within one working day.
